Our Story
Built on the legacy of High Resolves and the belief that citizenship education should be taught as systematically as literacy, math, and science
Founded in 2022, The Human Responsibility Accelerator is built upon the legacy of High Resolves, and is now the engine for the High Resolves Group. Over the last five years, High Resolves, founded by Mehrdad and Roya Baghai, has evolved from a leader in citizenship education in Australia, to a global ecosystem dedicated to the activation of human responsibility.
High Resolves Co-Founder, Global CEO of the High Resolves Group, and Chair of the Board for the Human Responsibility Accelerator, Mehrdad has focused on rapid growth of the program in Australia and expansion in the US, Canada, China, Brazil and Africa. Mehrdad is Chairman of Alchemy Growth, a boutique strategy advisory firm. Previously, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company and co-leader of the Firm's worldwide Growth Practice, and an Executive Director at the CSIRO, Australia's national science agency. Mehrdad has degrees from Harvard Law School, Harvard Kennedy School and Princeton University. He is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
The Human Responsibility Accelerator envisions a more just world where young people are empowered to act in the long-term interest of humanity with empathy, knowledge, inclusion, and hope for the future. With a desire to solve world challenges with care and urgency, we believe the solution is an ambitious, coordinated ecosystem approach. The Accelerator specializes in the creation and curation of transformative learning experiences and scalable digital platforms, as well as a growing set of regional distribution entities, global networks, philanthropic and strategic partners. The Accelerator's logo captures our central place within the High Resolves Group and the dynamic, integrated and mutually reinforcing relationship of its component units. The Accelerator curates, creates and hosts the High Resolves Groups' educational platforms, collections of lessons, courses, educational programs and premium services, providing our distribution companies and partners with quality citizenship education resources that meet the needs and interests of their markets. We support our partners to positively shape the direction of citizenship education. The Accelerator's six business units each have their own ecosystems that enrich our organizational programs and resources as well as generate opportunities for each other. Our organizational model reflects our approach to citizenship education. It is collaborative, relies upon and fosters civic mutuality, and is based on shared values and a common vision.
